before

tessa was born and grew up in [ redacted ], to her mother Annalyn and an unknown father. She was the oldest child, her mother falling pregnant when tessa was four years old, and once again when tessa was eight. They lived across the river of the nearest town.tessa never questioned the lack of men in their community. It had been that way since she was born and, as far as she was concerned, it was normal. It never dawned on her that she was residing in a coven until the day her magical abilities came to fruition.Magic ran deep in the veins of her family, every woman - irregardless of the father - was blessed with magical abilities. When tessa turned eight, her's began to make an appearance.Only then did her mother sit her down and explain their lifestyle, explain why it was dangerous, and why she couldn't tell anyone outside of the community. to outsiders, the women of the coven were barely noticed. They'd nestled themselves so distant from the town, deep in the trees, that most assumed they were poor, whores who'd lost their right to live amongst everyone else - women who'd been shamed away.The group was small enough that it was an easy lie to believe and was never questioned.Until one day ...All it took was a Coven from elsewhere to show up and start causing trouble. Carefree with their magic and not afraid of death, the group quickly drew suspicion on the lot of women in the woods and a witch hunt was quick to begin.Her mother was quick to usher tessa and her sister further into the woods and away from all of the madness ensuing and one by one, from the outskirts of the town where they hid, tessa watched as the trials began.From burning to hanging, to trial by drowning, tessa managed to stay hidden until stumbled upon by a local stable boy who promptly dragged her into the town square.After little deliberation, she was taken to the water and drowned. There was never an option for any of them to come out of it alive.

rebirth

It was less than fifty years before tessa found herself back on Earth. She remember nothing about her time after death, but she did remember her life before it.Inhabiting the body of a sixteen year old farmgirl, tessa tried her best to take over the girl's personality and relationships until she figured out how and why she was here. It took months, but she finally figured out how to remove herself from the girl's body and take over someone else.After every death, she'd come back and steal someone's body - their life - until she could manage to get her hands on a newly deceased person. It led to her spending a lot of time around morgues, frantically searching the obituaries, until she could finally give the person their life back and move on with her own.

abilities

Reneta's abilities are based mainly in spoken spells and a large amount of physical energy. Any large acts of magic will take planning and verbally spoken spells as opposed to being done mentally.
Though, small acts of telekinesis and pyrokinesis are able to be used without a verbal command.
Her abilities are also very emotion based at times - any major mood spikes or drops significantly impact her control and the power over her magic.

The ability to manipulate physical objects
with only the use of the mind or
an evocation of magical words

premonitions

This ability is usually used subconsciously or in
a dream as a nightmare but they don't usually
occur that often and are usually quite vague.

aerokinesis

The ability to create, shape and manipulate air.

necromancy

Mostly only used when she's
first returned back to life, taking
over a body of the recently deceased.
Though, she does get the occasional
visit from the ghost of the body she's
inhabiting.
